Rev. Robert Nguyen received his Masters of Theological Studies degree from Vanguard University of Southern California in 2013. His masters dissertation was on the persecuted church in Asia. Pastor Robert grew up in Orange County and attended Catholic schools from elementary through high school. He was an honor roll student who was actively involved in academic, social and athletic clubs at Mater Dei High School. As part of the requirements to graduate, he served hundreds of Christian service hours as a religion instructor on the weekends at his former Catholic elementary school. Before entering ministry, Pastor Robert earned his BA in Communications at UC San Diego and later on, he earned several different single-subject teaching credentials from CSU Long Beach. Pastor Robert had previously served at another affirming ministry for nearly 20 years in different capacities leading up to an Associate Pastor position. In April 2018, the founding pastor of Christ Chapel Orange County Rev. Lillian Lobb retired after nearly 26 years and Rev. Robert Nguyen became the new pastor, continuing the tradition of bringing the inclusive word of God to all people. |
